DAY 19 – 1/31/12 BUENOS AIRES --> CEIBAS

234 km / 76.6 kph ave / 137 kph max
4:30 hrs tot / 3 hrs mov

We left Dakar Motos at 1000 and arrived at Renta-motos a half hour later. Ben met us there at 1300 and it was a lot of fun to see him again for the first time since Christmas. Dad and I unloaded all of our extra gear we would be sending back with him as he suited up. We were ready to be on our way to Iquazu!

About an hour into the ride, we encountered our heaviest rainstorm yet. We were able to get our raingear on before it hit, but we had to pull over at an abandoned gas station to wait out the worst of it.

After waiting about 15 or 20 minutes, we thought it looked like the rain had lightened up a little and we continued on about 3 km to fill up at a working station. Here we decided to look for a place to stay in the next town. Luckily for us, just a km up the road there was a restaurant - bus stop - hotel combo and we got a three bed room for $350 Arg pesos were we could dry out.
